Terms of use

Chills is a free live-music discovery service. You may browse without an account. If you create an account, provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and use the service lawfully.

Most beta performances are embedded or linked from third-party platforms and remain subject to their availability, terms, advertising, regional restrictions, and rights-management systems. Chills may also host recordings supplied under direct written permission from the relevant partner or rights holder. Chills cannot guarantee that every external performance will remain available. Relisten-ranked recordings play from their original Internet Archive items. Internet Archive Live Music Archive and Phish.in recordings are offered only as part of this free, non-commercial service and link back to their original source pages. Audius tracks stream from Audius, retain their artist and canonical track attribution, and remain subject to the Audius Open Music License or any alternative licence attached to the track.

You retain ownership of text you submit. You give Chills permission to store, display, moderate, and format it for operating and promoting the service. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or private material. We may remove contributions or restrict accounts to protect people, artists, and the service.

Voting stays open indefinitely. New recordings and corrections require at least five votes and 80% approval. A listed recording with more than 50 votes is unlisted below 50% approval and can return at 60% approval. Unlisting preserves its review page and history. Votes concern individual performances, separately from likes and personal chill moments. Confirmed accounts can vote after 24 hours; self-voting and coordinated manipulation are prohibited. Community votes cannot override source permissions, technical checks, rights-holder withdrawal or safety restrictions.

A partner enquiry does not grant Chills any licence or other rights. When you upload audio, you confirm that it is a live recording and that you have permission from the relevant artists and recording rights holders to share it. You grant Chills non-exclusive permission to store and stream that recording, create verified lossless playback copies, and present songs using community-approved time markers. You retain ownership of your recording. We record your consent and the version of the upload permission with your submission. The person sharing a recording must not upload or authorise material they lack authority to share. Anyone with the required permission may upload, including listeners and tapers. Choosing a contributor role does not verify ownership.

Rights holders may request removal through the form on the Support page or by emailing hello@chills.live. We aim to act on valid requests promptly.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features and catalogue entries may change, and temporary interruptions may occur. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using Chills at any time and permanently delete your account from the Account screen. We may suspend access where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or serious breaches of these terms.
